Unicorn Corn Cake anyone?

Craftin Desert Divas has a few new animal cake digital stamps available.  I just happened to fall in love with this Unicorn Cake and had to color it up with my copics.  I used my Brother ScanNCut to cut out the Unicorn Cake.  I also used the Crazy Stitched Frame dies to cut a mat for the cake panel.

I cut a piece of patterned paper a 1/4" larger to mat behind the Crazy Stitched panel, adhered them together, popped up the Unicorn Cake with foam tape, then adhered all to a standard A2 size, top folding card base.  Used a white gel pen to add a little highlight detail to the cake stand and added a little shimmer to the unicorn horn.

Tipsy Cups make me Happy!

Sharing a card today that I made using the Tipsy Cups digital stamp from Craftin Desert Divas.  A little bit of simple coloring with copic markers, ink blending on the background, Happy Sentiments stamps set for the sentiment, and topped off with a few Shimmer Sequins.  Quick and easy card!

More Mouse House with Colored Pencils

While watching the Olympics, I decided to do a little coloring with my colored pencils.  I printed all of the mice from Mouse House and put them all in a window pane.  Nothing special, no sentiment at the moment; I was just playing around with ideas. Each mouse was cut out using the inside cut out from the window pane  each were colored, then I cut out the actual window pane from some blue card stock that I had in my stash.
I think I need to hire these guys.  Thanks for stopping by!

A quirky little PB and J

I saw the PB and J digital stamp set over at Craftin Desert Divas and instantly thought of a pregnancy announcement.  I know, a little quirky, but I was not able to get it out of my mind, so I ran with it.

I printed out the image on Neenah Solar white and colored them with copic markers.  I cut them out with my detail scissors.  I used the Stitched Number and Stitched Alphabet dies on some purple card stock and I used the Crazy Stitched Frame die to cut out the white card stock.  I adhered the larger images flat to the card and popped up the small image and the number 3 with foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by and most all the supplies are listed below.

Mouse House Digital Stamp Set

The February release over at Craftin Desert Divas is now live.  One of my favorite sets is the Mouse House Digital Stamp Set.  Digital stamps are so versatile and the best part is...you don't have to wait for them to ship to you.  One you purchase, they are usually an instant download.  Better yet, they also come in the .png format, which means the background of each image is transparent, to you can layer them together without using masking techniques!

For the card below, I duplicated the clothes line and lined them up to kind of create a continuous line.  I added the washer, then brought in the bottle of detergent and sat it on top of the washer, added the cute little mouse, then just simply colored with my copic markers.  I did draw in the floor and baseboard with a pencil, then colored the floor, baseboard, and wall with copics.

A Happy Hello Friday!

A Happy Hello on this Friday morning!  It is the end of the work week and almost time for the new release from Craftin Desert Divas!  Though the digi image on this card is from a previous release, the whimsical Stitched Alpha Dies at the bottom will be available for purchase this afternoon.

I printed the digital image on Neenah Solar White and colored with my copic markers.  Don't forget that balloons are transparent as are the copic markers, so be sure to overlap the colors.  I used the Stitched Scallop Dies to cut out a template for creating the light clouds in the background by sponging on Broken China Distress Ink very lightly.  I cut out the image and popped up on foam tape.  I used the new Stitched Alpha Dies with my big shot to cut out the letters to spell the word Hello and colored them with the same markers I used for the balloons.  I adhered the letters flat to the card and here you have it....A fun CAS card just to say Hello!

Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic weekend!

Garden Background Die Two Ways

Hi everyone, I'm here again with a card share using the Garden Background die.  I'll also be using the Nesting Stitched Scalloped Oval Dies, Word Set - Happy, and Word Set - Birthday
.

I'll be using both the negative and positive of the Garden Background to show you how to create two cards.

Card #1

Card #2

Below is a video of how I made both cards.  Enjoy!

Thanks so much for stopping by and as always, all of the supplies I've used are listed below.

Sending Sunshine with A Happy Hello

Today I thought I would create something a little more spring like since I'm so over this cold winter weather.  I used the CDD Sending Sunshine digital stamp, along with A Happy Hello digital stamp, combining the sentiment from one with the image from the other.  I just love these bright colors and the card turned out so cheery.

I colored the bird and flower with Copic Markers as follows:
Bird - B00, B01, B02, Y11, Y23, R20
Flower - Y21, Y23, YR14, YR15, E09, E35, E37, YG01, YG03

I found some matching blue patterned paper in my stash and cut to 3.75" x 5.25", then grabbed some scrap pieces of bright green cards stock to tie in with the green leaves of the image.  I used the Fancy Frames dies to cut out the Bird and Sentiment, then trimmed off two edges of the scallops, reversing them for each.  I used foam tape to pop up the Bird and Sentiment, then added a few Pastel Paradise Sequins to finish it off.
