My Squeak Heart

Is this not just the cutest image ever?  Who wouldn't love to get a box of candy hearts from this sweet little mouse?  You can pick him up over at CDD right here.

I printed the image on Neenah Solar White card stock, then used Copic Markers to do the coloring.  I cut the images apart then trimmed them up.  I adhered the mouse with candy flat to the card front, then popped up the sentiment on foam tape.  The background paper is some specialty paper that I previously got in a Simon Says Stamp card kit.  The black mat is from Lawn Fawn's Polka in the Meadow 6x6 paper pack.

Tutti Designs Swirly Love

Hi everyone, I'm here again with a new card and video for you using the Tutti Designs Swirly Love die.  This is such a lovely die and Valentine's Day is just around the corner.

Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store and check out all of the fabulous dies.

One Image, Two Cards

Today I'm sharing two cards that I made using the Craftin Desert Divas, "You Melt My Heart Snowman" digital image.  For the card on the left, I also used the CDD "Fancy Frame" dies and I used Bubblegum and Shimmer sequins to embellish both cards.

I used Lawn Fawn "Let's Polka in the Meadow" 6 x 6 paper pack to mat both cards.  The image was printed twice onto Neenah Solar White card stock.  I drew in the puddle of water for the card on the left, but left the right one as is.  I colored both with comic markers, then cut them out.  The background for the card on the right was done by sponging on distress ink and I darkened up the bottom by using a few cool gray Copic markers.  I added a little white gel pen detail to both, then popped them up on foam tape.

Hi everyone, Sherry back again today with a simple 4.25 x 4.25 square card using the Flower Wish die and the Dotted Nesting Squares from Tutti Designs.

A few pieces of paper, a couple of die cuts, a scattering of sequins and a little sparkle on the Flower Wish.

Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store and check out all of the fabulous dies.

Baby It's Cold Outside.....

How about this cute little penguin from Craftin Desert Divas?  He is such a cutie and this is my first post for the January Mood Board over in the gallery.  Come join in on the fun and be sure to use #cddmonthly on your social media.

I printed out the digital image of the penguin, then I sketched in the ice with a copic multi liner.  I did some simple coloring with copic markers, then cut out the entire image.  I then took a piece of 4 x 5.25 bristol smooth and used Distress Inks in Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch.  Sprinkled on some water with the distress sprayer and wiped up with a paper towel.  I then used my Versamark pen and sketched around the ice and dotted around the background.  I poured on some Wow White Puff embossing powder and heat set to create the snow.  I printed out the sentiment from the computer and cut it into a banner shape.

30 Day Coloring Challenge

Once again, I've started the 30 Day Coloring Challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin.  Not sure I can keep up, but sure going to give it another try.  I'll share Day 1 and Day 2 with you now.

For both cards, I used the PS, I Love You stamp set from Craftin Desert Divas.  Day 1 is colored with colored pencils as I traveled on Monday.  Day 2 is very simple coloring with copic markers.

Hello everyone, I'm here with you again showcasing a couple of simple, but elegant cards using the "Smile" die and the "Scalloped Stitched Nesting Ovals" from Tutti Designs Dies.  I normally have a video for you, however, this week did not allow time for recording and editing, so I tried to catch the process in photos for you.

I used two sheets of 6x6 patterned paper, one sheet of Rose Gold specialty paper, and one sheet of Ivory Card Stock and one White Card Stock.

Using the second largest oval, I cut out the center of the patterned paper, then using the same, I cut out a piece of navy patterned paper.  I then taped the two dies together to cut a frame from the Rose Gold paper.  The smile die was used with both the Rose Gold paper and the Ivory.  I cut the smile word away from the Rose Gold so that I had just the flower portion of the die.

I put it all together to create my first clean and simple card.

Using the leftover pieces, I made the second card, but this time I use another smaller Scalloped Stitched Nesting Oval to cut out an oval with the Ivory card stock and I used the "Smile" portion of the die cut in which I previously trimmed away the flower.  I added a little stamping and there you have it.  Two cards, a few pieces of paper and a couple of great dies!

Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store and check out all of the fabulous dies.

With Sympathy

I've had a recent death in the family and traveling to attend funeral.  Before I left, I made the following card for my step mother.

I used the Bouquet of Thanks stamp set and the Thoughtful Messages stamp set, both by Simon Says Stamp.  Using my Mini Misti, I stamped the image with Versafine Smokey Gray ink.  I used Polychromos colored pencils to do the coloring and blended it out with Gambol.  Added a few Nuvo Jewels drops and a little Wink of Stella and called it finished.

January Release from CDD in just 2 more days!!

I've had a blast working with some of the new products from Craftin Desert Divas that will be released on Friday, January 12, at 3PM EST.  The card below was made with the Party Time Stencil, Birthday Surpise digital stamp set, and the Happy Die, all of which will be available for purchase on Friday.  There will also be several other wonderful and fun stamp sets introduced, just be sure to check out the New Release tab over on their website.

I used distress ink in several colors over the Party Time stencil to create my background.  I manipulated the #3 and cake element to make it as one, then printed on Bristol Smooth card stock.  I colored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  I added a strip of left over plaid paper, popped up the image with foam tape, die cut the Happy die from yellow card stock and the Happy die drop shadow from gray card stock.  The card base was made with the same yellow card stock used for the Happy die.  This was a very simple and quick card to make.

Birthday Surprise Sneak Peek from Craftin Desert Divas

Coming Soon!!  Here is a sneak peek of the January release on it's way from Craftin Desert Divas, called Birthday Surprise.  Lots of cute critters in this set and a must have!

I printed the image with my ink jet printer, used Prismacolor colored pencils with Gamsol, then cut out the image.  Popped it up on a panel of Neenah Solar White, matted it with Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Rainbow, and printed a Happy Birthday sentiment on white with a yellow mat behind.  For a little embellishment, I used some Nuvo crystal drops in Caribbean Ocean and jewel drops in Limoncello.

Falling Hearts Stained Glass Inlay Die Cutting

Hi everyone, I'm back again today sharing a Thank You card made with the Tutti Designs Falling Hearts Stained Glass die.  I also used the Scalloped Stitched Nesting Rectangles (the piece I cut and saved from my last project) and the Word Set - Thanks.

I really wanted to look of solder, so I stacked 3 of the positive pieces together and embossed it twice to get the thickness I wanted.  I did the same for the "Thanks" die.  Below is a video of my process, along with a simple mistake.  Thanks for stopping by!

"Always" for Craftin Desert Divas

Hi Everyone, back again today with a sweet little card featuring "Always" digital stamp by Craftin Desert Divas.  When I first laid eyes on this image, I knew I had to have it.  For many years, my husband, for whatever his reason, collected little pig figures.  So this will be my card for him come Valentine's Day.

I printed the image, along with another generic file I had to include the hearts.  I used Neenah Solar White and colored with Copic Markers.  I then used my Prismacolor Colored Pencils to add a bit more shading to the images and to do the background just around the main image.

I cut a standard A2 card base and covered the front with a red and pink striped paper.  I trimmed the main image piece to 3.75 x 5 and popped it up on foam tape.

Tutti Designs Heart Dreamcatcher

Hi everyone, wishing you all a Very Happy New Year.  I wish all the best for each and every one of you for 2018!  Today I'm sharing a quick card using three of Tutti Designs Dies...Heart DreamcatcherLove Word Set, and Scalloped Stitched Nesting Rectangles.

Using the Scalloped Stitched Nesting Rectangles, I cut the center out of the card front (I'll use the extra center piece for another card).  I cut a piece of patterned paper 4 1/8 x 5 1/4 and adhered that to the back side of the front panel.  I lightly inked the edge of the card front with Antique Linen Distress Ink, as well as the edges of the trimmed down paper doily.  I cut out the Dreamcatcher and the Love then used colored pencils and Gamsol to add the color.  Lastly, I added a few Nuvo Crystal Drops as a final embellishment.

Simple and quick card to make.  Hope you enjoy the video!

Happy New Year with Crafting Desert Divas

Today is my very first post as a member of the Craftin Desert Divas Digital Design Team.  I'm super excited to be joining the team, as I love to color and digital images can be much more affordable for those that have a small crafting budget.

I used the Bubbly digital stamp to create this simple one layer Happy New Year card.  I printed the image on Neenah Solar White, added the sentiment with a simple text in my computer, and colored the image with Prismacolor Colored Pencils and Gamsol.  I added glossy accents to the bottle and glass, then scatter a few Sequins from the Fairy Dust collection.

Wishing you all a very Happy and Prosperous 2018!
