Fabulous You on Kraft with Prismacolor Colored Pencils

I've been itching to use my colored pencils again on kraft card stock.  I decided to use the Fabulous You stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.  The stamp set was a collaboration with SSS and Altenew and sold exclusively by SSS during their Stamptember event.  Unfortunately, the set has sold out, but you could use any stamp set to try this technique.
Enjoy the video tutorial and as always, the supplies are listed below.

Getting into the Holiday Spirit with Merry Christmouse

I had purchased quite a few Holiday and winter stamp sets last year and did not have time to use or show them.  This particular one, Merry Christmouse, was a collaboration set between Lawn Fawn and Simon Says Stamp which unfortunately is no longer available.  The same type card can be achieved using some of the other Lawn Fawn sets; as most of their critters are rather small and will fit in the frames of the die cut that I used.

I did not use Neenah Solar White or any other known Copic recommended card stock for this card and I struggled with the blending.  I highly recommend using the Neenah to save yourself some frustration.  If you, too, are struggling with your Copic blending, the problem is most likely the paper you are using.

Okay, enough of my rant and on with the video.

Penny Black Best Friends in Copics

Finally found a bit of time to sit and color a very clean and simple card using Penny Black Best Friends.
I stamped the image on Neenah Solar White with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink; as it is copic safe.  Used just a few markers to do the coloring, backed with Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes patterned paper and added simple embellishments around the sentiment using Nuvo Jewel Drops in Lemoncello.

I hope you enjoy the video.
