Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge #42

Do you ever have those days when everything just seems to be going wrong?  Have ideas, but they don't transpose to paper in the way you'd envisioned?  Well that was my day today.  I had two projects that I wanted to complete and it literally took me the entire day to produce two cards, both of which did not turn out the way I'd planned.  Well that just shows we are all human.

With that said, I'll share the first one here.  My latest entry for another challenge over at Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge.  The theme for #42 is Birthday.  So...I chose to have a birthday party and invite all the cats.  On my!  Are they having fun or what?

Though things didn't go as planned, I pushed forward until I finished.  I was not starting over or creating another version.  It's a bit crowded and somewhat unbalanced, but we learn from our trials and errors.

Canson XL watercolor paper and tombow markers is pretty much all I used, other than the obvious versa fine onyx black ink for stamping.  The main panel is popped up with foam tape and the upper part of each party hat is popped up for a little dimension.  All the supplies are listed below.

Thanks for stopping by!

Well, maybe it didn't go as planned, but you made a super fun card! It made me think of the difficulty of taking pictures with cats--a near impossible feat! I love that you combined so many Newton sets. Thanks so much for joining us at Inky Paws Challenge!

I totally know what you mean. Some days I can make 10 cards others it takes hours for just one! I love how this turned out. I don't mind it being crowded - it looks like a kitty party! Thanks for sharing your creation on our inky Paws Challenge!
