Last week I did a lot of thinking about how life and budgeting will change after I retire. The thought process provoked me to take a look at the supplies I currently have on hand and how I could use them in a minimalist way, but still create and share beautiful cards.
I decided to take a stencil that I had received in one of my monthly SSS Card Kits and use it in a different way than one would traditionally.

Using 1 stencil, 5 markers, 1/2 sheet of inexpensive watercolor paper, inexpensive watercolor brushes, a kneaded eraser, and a pencil can produce a quite elegant card. Kick it up one more notch if you have oval dies in your stash for tracing, one more really light maker and a sentiment stamp.
