Hey Chickie! Easter Card ~ SSS March 2017 Card Kit

This little chickie is the cutest thing ever!  So yes, I had to put him on a pedestal of Easter Eggs.  He is part of the SSS March Card Kit stamp set, Some Bunny.  All the stamps in this set are stinking cute and I know I will have to do something with the Bunny here soon.

I stamped the images in SSS Intense Black Ink on watercolor paper, then colored them with my Zigs.  Below is the list of colors I used if interested:

Large Egg - 070 - Orange, 081 - Light Violet
Small Egg - 025 - Pink, 041 - Light Green
Chickie - 070- Orange for beak, 026 - Light Pink for cheeks, 050 - Yellow for body and wings
Shadow beneath all - 045 - Pale Green
Shadow around all - 036 - Light Blue

I used the Valentine's Border dies by Lawn Fawn to trim down the focal panel, then used some random patterned paper that I had in my stash.

Enjoy the video and as always, I've listed the supplies I used down below.

Naughty Newton ~ Oops

This card actually started out as a birthday card for a male friend that happens to love cats.  However,  while coloring the cat, I was so focused on trying to make sure I kept the colors in the same color family and at a minimum, I ended up coloring the color pink.  I really don't think his cat, Leonard, wears a pink collar.

Oh well, stuff happens in the midst of making art, cards, etc....  Maybe I'll keep this card and give it to him when I mess something up at his store, then I can use it as "I'm sorry" card.
