My first idea was to print the Seahorses out on Neenah, color with copics and cut them out. For the background, I used Distress Watercolor Paper and did a little ink smooshing with a couple of blue distress inks. I cut the sentiment into a banner and added color with copics as well.
This one was okay, though I really wasn't pleased with the coloring, especially on the banner, but hey, we learn from our mistakes.
For the second card, I simply used a very old stencil and added ink to my background. Colored the Seahorses in shades of purple and yellow. Used some blue to create like sound waves or nation waves around them, then used the colorless blender to lift out little circles. I cut out the melon card stock with the fancy edges and then it hit me....everything I was doing seemed to play off the "O" in the sentiment (O-Fish-Ally). So I had to do it and add the google eyes; after all, they are also round and have little round pupils inside.
